Drowned by the shore is the first successful attempt to create an artistic identity for the musical entity that is Cormier, setting the very first visual elements to complement its, liminal and reflective, yet dark and experimental, music catalog.
The art direction actually revolves around the very concept of "identity" itself through the difficulty of distinguishing the protagonist, hence the deliberate choices of composition and over-exposition made in order to shape the personal crisis that comes with creativity.
The difficulty now will be to adapt these different prototypes to a longer video format with more depth.
Also, we still exploring the idea of manifesting this conflicted identity trough a crossed media approach in order to leave space for interpretation with every possible pieces of content individually.
